Saturday, June 28 & Sunday June 29 - The Daily List

Hello Twitter Friends. Yep, another blog list. Being at a music festival makes it hard to spend a few hours perusing the Interwebs this weekend, so here's a short list of what's been posted as of Thursday. Any mistakes are ours alone, please don't blame the venue. We'll be back Monday. Cheers:

• Too Phat for Sevens Rugby Day starts at Bailey Park at 10 a.m. with a bunch of games, including a game for the big guys, and ends with a pig roast. Then, starting at 7 at Draught House, a Rugby Bar Crawl, which is always entertainment.
• Vintage Estates has a Glass-Inclusive event Saturday. Buy a pint of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Barley Wine & keep the glass. Starts at 5:15, limited quantities. Summer Beer School & Bottle Share Sunday at 3 p.m.
• Magic Tree Pub & Eatery has Junction PA at 9 p.m. on Saturday and Aunt Esther at 6 p.m. on the patio on Sunday.
• Draught House has Downtown's cheapest shots, great beer on tap, two pool tables and you control the jukebox. Sunday Funday Day Drinking!
• Martini Brothers Burger Bar has Downtown's best burgers until 11 p.m. on Saturday and Hip Hop Anonymous at 10. No cover, but there should be.
• O'Donold's Downtown has Downtown's best craft beer selection on tap. Kitchen's open until 2 a.m. every night.
• Suzie's Dogs & Drafts has alcoholic milkshakes, unique cocktails & craft beer, hot dogs & tater tots until 2 a.m.
• Bill's Place has select buckets 5 for $10, DJ Hubcap at 10 p.m. and Happy Hour with $1 drafts & bombs at 11 p.m.
• Cedars West End has the Original Sackville lineup at 10 p.m. 21 & over. Come chill Sunday with laid-back music & drink prices.
• Rodeo Music Hall has Big Country Saturdays. Doors open at 8 pm, line dance lessons at 9 with Mary and DJ Chris Scott at 10 p.m.
• Quench has Jimmy Zigzag's French Kiss at 9 with an 80's costume contest. $8 cover with lots of $2 and $3 beer & drink specials.
• The Halligan Bar has a Stand-Up Comedy Night from 8-11 p.m. with Jesse Hubler, Tom Bailey, Jon McCormick, Johnny Damn, Kenny Miller & Jaye Mills. $2 cover. Feelgood with music & karaoke at 11 p.m.

Bar Crawl Sunday after the Officer Down 5K.  Run starts at 11. West Federal Street Downtown with registration 8-9:30 a.m.; Police Procession starts at 9:45, 5K Race at 10 a.m., Walk after the race and Kid's Fun Run at 11 a.m. For info email TJ@officerdown5k.com

Following the race, about noon, there's going to be an 8-venue Bar Crawl, so feel free to hit up the following places:  Rust Belt Brewing Tap House, Martini Brothers Burger Bar, Suzie's Dogs & Drafts, Roberto's Italian Ristorante, Draught House, Warehouse 50, V2 Wine Bar and O'Donold's Downtown. All of these locations will have drink specials and are donating money from drink sales to the Officer Down Foundation and V2 will be having Hoss & The Juggernauts playing music.

Apologies, Twitter fans, for the blog posts, but the Drink Up Youngstown crew is heading to Columbus for three days for Community Festival 2014, aka Comfest. It's our annual summer get-away, and this is my 10th year going and 8th as a volunteer. We'll have lists Friday & Saturday, too (Saturday's will cover Sunday as well), but not individual Tweets.
